American storyteller and writer of short fiction

As a kindergartener, he once painted 'death', causing a grammar school
administration to demand this "strange child" receive psychiatric help.
For 'therapy', he was banned from Godzilla, Saturday afternoon B-horror movies and his beloved monster magazines.
The closed circuit telecasts of a high school news station provided the
venue for satirical comedies about UFOs, the Bermuda Triangle, crop
circles and like phenomenon. For his public speaking class, he performed
an exorcism.
And they all thought he believed this stuff.
By the time he entered Marquette University, Joseph was writing for
a now defunct science fiction magazine based in Liverpool, England
and contributing tidbits to other journals. He honed his satire and
comedy skills doing local stand-up at both open mike and paying gigs.
Continually haunted by nightmares, he now writes to exorcise his demons...

The 1965 Christmas Rebellion
when Joseph was disappointed with his new
presents, he resorted to showing everyone
his really neat old monster toys and telling
tales of their wild adventures...
